A public meeting will take place on Monday March 8 at Wingham Golf Club from 7pm.
"We really need local support for this," Maureen Parkyns, Macksville BlazeAid Camp Assistant Coordinator said.
"If we can get as many people to this meeting as possible, that would be great."
BlazeAid first set up camp at Wingham Showgrounds in mid November 2019 in order to help local property owners and farmers rebuild fencing destroyed by the fires.
At the time it was anticipated volunteers would need around eight months to repair fencing to at least 600 properties.
The COVID-19 pandemic slowed things down considerably and by the time the organisation packed up camp towards the end of 2020 there was still around 80 local property owners still in need of help.
Unable to return to the showgrounds this year the organisation has been seeking a new place to set up camp.
According to Maureen the group has been offered a spot for five months at Wingham Cricket Ground.
She hopes BlazeAid volunteers can get as much done in that time as possible.
"We are looking for support from the community with fencing, administration support, cleaning, food preparation and other duties involved in running a smooth camp," Maureen said.

Wingham Golf Club is located at 30/32 Country Club Drive, Wingham.
