After three games of 10 ends Hunter Payton (by the way, bowls treasurer) led his crew of Snow Trenchard and Col Gorden with their 33 points to be the top-gun team for the day.
Also on the same points but loosing on a count-back were Laurie Mullen (the super raffle collector), Justin Costa and Lionel Trotter who is fast becoming the dark-horse player in the club.
Glen Dennes, Roo from Manning Point and Neville Bell, our local all-round sportsman, came in with 31 points.
The event was well organized with very good back-up from Matt and Lisa Yeark. The left over pork and poultry went to lucky raffle winners.
Two of the 14 teams being led by Graeme Ireland and Phill Malone were somewhat fortunate that a sudden hail storm arrived to cut short the final game as their total points to that stage was seven on their cards.
Wednesday morning social
Ross Piggott as lead ensured that his skip Greg Bartlett had an easy ride in their game against Justin Costa and Tim Richardson with a +17 result.
Daniel Leadbeater, Roger Else and Andy Bissex got a +8 favourable result over Jim Gillogly, Brian Williams and Lex Pereira.
Dally Hammond, Kev Coles and Allan Dodd as swinging lead got a shot win over Col Hinton, Snow Trenchard and Allan.

Wednesday twilight
Three games of pairs were played.
Hunter and Fatty played Peter H and Tony C. It was a pretty one sided affair with Peter and Tony winning 15-6. Peter and Tony were very consistent. Hunter tried hard to lift his team but Fatty kept weighing him down.
Tony L and Cliff B won the first seven ends in their game against Leroy P and Jenny M but then Leroy and Jenny got into their groove and won a few ends to get back in the game but couldn't get the win. Tony and Cliff ran out winners 12-6.
In the final game Col M and Mark H took on Foody and Andrew. After four ends Col and Mark had shot to a 12-0 lead. Col and Mark were high fiveing each other and spruking like they'd won the Australian pairs title. Col even walked past this correspondent waving the score card and saying "this game is too easy, Fat", but then Foody put on 12 unanswered points in the next five ends.
The mood changed for Mark and Col, resorting to bagging each other and niggling the opposition. Foody and Andrew held their nerve and went on to hand out a whooping 19-15 to the hotshots.
