Wingham lost the toss and were sent in to bat and got off to a great start with Lachlan Dawson opening the batting and retiring on 14 along with Jackson Barry retiring on 35 helping to progress our score to a total of 120 runs off 25 overs.
A change of innings saw both teams join in a traditional ceremony as part of NAIDOC Week.
Drew Gosper opened the bowling setting up a catch early for Jack Baker. Some great bowling figures from Jackson Barry 1/1 off two overs, Ned Crawford and Brayden Garrett both 1/9 off two overs, and Ryan Hughes 1/8, slowing Taree west down.
There was a great 56 run partnership from two very experienced Taree West batters helping towards a very intense close to the match, with Taree West just getting Wingham at the end with 8/121.
Wingham U12s did not play as they had a bye.
