The Wingham Tigers Under 18s travelled to the Wood Street Oval at Port Macquarie on Saturday July 25 to play the Port City Breakers in a game that was played in steady rain.

It was the Tigers who scored first when the home team dropped the ball while attacking; and Will Gee picked up the ball and ran 90 metres to score beside the posts. Hayden Essery added the extra points.

Soon after Liam Phillips scored in the corner after the ball went through the hands on the last play.

At half time, Wingham held a 10-0 lead.

The only score in the third quarter was a penalty goal right on the siren to Hayden Essery.

In the final stanza, a break from Hayden Essery, followed by a kick, saw Ryan Young dive on the ball for a try.

With the conversion by Hayden Essery, the lead was extended to 18-0, which was the final score.

Port City 0 lost to Wingham 18 (Will Gee, Liam Phillips, Ryan Young tries, Hayden Essery 3 goals).
