The anticipated visit by the Variety 4WD Adventure Tour which was to have visited Tinonee on Sunday March 22, was cancelled late Friday afternoon due to the ever widening spread of coronavirus sweeping the world but Australia as well.
It is hoped maybe later in the year the event can be re-scheduled and find its way to Tinonee - we will just have to wait and see.
Anglican Church services cancelled
Sunday services of most of the local churches in the Manning and Upper Manning region were cancelled, including our lovely little white church - St Luke's Anglican Church Tinonee.
It is not sure how long the churches will be affected, something none of the older parishioners have experienced in their lifetime. All other functions associated with the Wingham Anglican Parish are also on hold.
Happy birthday
Happy birthday wishes to our new neighbour Mark George who celebrates a birthday today, March 25. Lots of love from wife Aneeta and your boys Nate and Cade.
Hall meetings
Tinonee Memorial School of Arts meetings are cancelled from this time to a later date when clearance is given by the authorities.
Tinonee Public School
Tinonee Public School has cancelled their Easter Hat Parade but hopefully the classes will be doing some alternate craft sessions.
The canteen is regularly disinfecting surfaces and is asking all parents to place their children's orders online via the Flexischools app to reduce the direct handling of money. School banking has also been suspended until the start of term two.
Our world has become a different place as we all take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
We hope and pray it will soon be over but authorities have said it could be up to at least six months. Please be considerate, obey the rules, stay calm and safe, and look after your family and friends, especially seniors and those isolated.
