We're understandably very disappointed, Stroud Show Association executive committee member, Karen Hutchinson said.
"There is a lot of planning which goes into this, and this year was to be our inaugural three day show.
"But, we have been forced into this situation because of the coronavirus and it would be irresponsible to hold the show."
This year isn't the first Stroud show has been pressured into cancellation.
For four of the six years during World War II the show was put on hold, while three complete washouts in the 1990s put a dampener on the popular event.
Traditionally held on the first weekend after Easter, the first show was held back in 1921 to promote and display local produce.
Following the Agricultural Show Societies Council of NSW lead, the Australian Bushmen's Campdraft and Rodeo Assoc (ABCRA) the body which runs rodoes around the country, also has cancelled all events.
The Stroud rodeo is held in conjunction with the show.
The year's 99th three-day show was to be held from April 17-19.
Scheduled for July 11, the event could fall into the Federal government's strict six months ban on mass gatherings.
"We will have to consider this situation."
