They will clash with a Mid North Coast XI that includes Hastings representatives Hannah Faux, Tony Brown, Adam Broderick and Michael Pelley in a clash under lights to raise money for bushfire relief.
Brown, Broderick and Pelley have been rewarded for their contributions to the game over the years, while Faux has been rewarded for her hard work in the female game.
Waugh said he was excited to play in the match and to meet the local community.
"The boys and I are excited to be joining the SCG XI in the Batting for Bushfires cricket match in Port Macquarie," he said.
"As a resident of regional NSW, I have seen firsthand the devastation caused by bushfires and the enormous challenge faced by communities to rebuild their lives.
"I encourage cricket fans to make the trip to Port Macquarie to help lift the community spirit and contribute dollars to the local economy."
Fellow former Australian cricketer Stuart Clark was also looking forward to dusting off his cricket attire.
"I am excited to be travelling up to Port Macquarie to have a game of cricket," he said.
"It has been a few years, but it is always good fun and if it can help lift the community spirit, then I am all in and looking forward to the night."
The T20 match will commence at 6.30pm.
Cricket fans are encouraged to make the trip to Port Macquarie as part of a wider effort to contribute to communities devastated by bushfire.
