"A good number of these are keen to join the club and play more regularly," Peter said.
"We had a great fun session on the court, followed by a very social drinks and barbie."
The Open Court Sessions are happening every Wednesday, and will continue this week, weather permitting.
The new initiative is open to people of all ages and abilities to get back into tennis or to start it for the first time, and provides a flexible and commitment-free alternative to catching up with friends, with food and drink provided.
The 90 minute session aims to have participants embracing casual tennis in a relaxed format. The evening is made up of two parts: 30 minutes off-court with food and drinks, and 60 minutes on-court time for swinging, slamming and smiling, with a great soundtrack pumping through the evening.
"If people would like to join in, they can just turn up at 5.45pm for 6pm," Peter said.
