It has been a quiet week with most local organisations still enjoying their holiday break and school not yet back.

It was a welcome relief to enjoy some heavy showers of rain at the end of last week.
Most householders should be happy to get much needed rain in their tanks or on the gardens, a break from having to save grey water and bucket it on to lawns and gardens just to keep plants alive.
Local landowners received varying amounts of rain and there was some run off into dams which was great to see but it was not to the same everywhere - however it does show it can still rain.
John and I happened to be at Wingham Services Club on Friday afternoon when the rain absolutely fell down and looking across to Central Park one would have thought it was the sea with the water laying on the surface with little run off - it took a while to soak in but it finally did.
This good soaking should see the former brown area converted into a nice green for the upcoming Australia Day event on Sunday.
Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me but thanks to Joel at the Services Club for forwarding me a photo of the park covered with water on the Friday evening.
St Luke's games morning
Just a note for all those folk who attend the weekly Tuesday Games morning at St Luke's Church Hall - this event will be returning but not until Tuesday, February 4. Will confirm this as the date gets closer.
Wingham Anglican Parish has a pianola/piano free to a good home for anyone who would like it and further details can be obtained by contacting Rev Brian Ford and arranging removal otherwise it will be disposed of by the Church's Parish Council.
Museum on duty
The Museum is open again after their well earned break and has been displaying its new 'Museum Open' signs which were recently purchased with heartfelt thanks to a member who generously covered the cost of them.
The men folk at the Museum are continuing to work on the display shed ready for Items to be shown off which hopefully will include farm machinery and the like.
Opening hours for the Tinonee Museum are Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 10am-2pm, and Saturday 2.30-3.30pm.
