CAPPING off a stellar 2019, where he was awarded the prestigious Bill Turner Award for outstanding service to football in Northern NSW, Mike Parsons has been returned unopposed as chairman of Football Mid North Coast.

Mr Parsons' enormous contribution to football in the community was recognised by the awarding of life membership to Football Mid North Coast, presented at the recent annual general meeting.
Joining Mr Parsons on the executive are David Lee as vice chairman and Michael Wallace as treasurer.
FMNC thanked retiring directors Mark Woodward and Jonathon Newman for their years of service.
The 2020 season will be a landmark one for Football Mid North Coast following the establishment of the Coastal Premier League and the restructure of the FMNC Premier League.
Nine clubs - four from the FMNC area and five from the Coffs Harbour-based North Coast Football, will contest the Coastal Premier League to kick off for the first time this year.
The plan was for a 10 clubs - five from each zone - competition This was announced early last year.
Football Mid North Coast initially received five nominations but in December Wallis Lake withdrew citing travel concerns. The loss of Wallis Lake means there'll be no representative from the Manning/Great Lakes area in the CPL.
Mr Parsons said a vacancy would remain for the CPL, however, it there are no takers, the competition would proceed with nine clubs.
"We're all systems go with the Coastal Premier League, 100 per cent,'' Mr Parsons said.
"We're certainly not hitting the panic button.''
The revamped FMNC Premier League will be a one grade competition. FMNC remains confident 10 clubs will be involved, including Taree Wildcats. Wingham and Tuncurry-Forster had also expressed interest.
Meanwhile, Northern NSW Football is taking nominations from clubs for the FFA Cup competition.
The FFA Cup provides football teams across the country the chance to face-off against elite Hyundai A-League clubs in the national knockout tournament.
NNSWF's preliminary rounds will be split into two conferences, with Football Mid North Coast in the northern conference with Football Far North Coast, North Coast Football and Northern Inland Football.
Participating clubs in the 2020 FFA Cup northern conference will be placed into an open draw, There is a chance teams from within the same zone may be drawn against each other during rounds one to five.
"An open draw is required to avoid capping the number of participating clubs from each zone,'' a spokesman explained.
