"We've been welcomed with open arms," said Bobin school principal Diane Myer.
"On our first day here, every Bobin student received a back pack full of school supplies and the canteen staff have provided lunch for the students each day. This has made life so much easier for our parents too."
Operating a school within a school is a unique challenge, but Wingham Public School was able to organise a classroom and an office space for staff at very short notice.
"We felt it was important to get the students back into a normal school routine as soon as possible," said Rita Pittman, principal of Wingham Public School.
"It's been great to see the students making new friends, especially the year six students who are about to go off to high school together next year."
Bobin Public School is due to be operational again on the first day of term one next year.
"We've been assured by the Department of Education that all stops have been pulled out for our school to be back up and running by first term next year.
"The site will be cleared shortly, ready for demountable buildings to be installed in January," Diane said.
