Musica Provinciale (Italian for 'country music') have been playing together for several years and this is their third concert.
"We're local musicians, that's why we were call ourselves 'Musica Provinciale', because we're from the country. We are not professionals, we are local musicians sharing our love of baroque music, our love of early music," ensemble member Cheryl Meyer said.
The ensemble consists of violins, a viola, two cellos, recorders and harpsichord.
The program will open with Handel's Music for the Royal Fireworks, originally written for wind instruments. The ensemble will also play a Telemann sonata and a work by Johann Pez, both German composers of the Baroque period.
"It's a wonderful work; that's going to be our finale," ensemble member Cheryl Meyer said.
"As well we've got a few small ensemble groups playing, like little trios."
A newly formed madrigals group, the MadriGals, will also sing music from the Renaissance period.
Cost is $15, $12 concession. Tickets available at the door.
