New funding means BlazeAid can buy in bulk from local businesses

BlazeAid will soon be purchasing fencing materials by bulk from local businesses after the NSW Government announced $1 million in funding for the volunteer based organisation.

The funding was for the purchasing of fencing materials for bushfire affected farmers.

The Wingham BlazeAid camp at Wingham Showground will be the designated drop-off point for all locally purchased supplies with volunteers helping farmers to install the fencing.

BlazeAid has confirmed this bulk purchasing system will be the favoured method of financial assistance to farmers from this time on.

By arrangement farmers can also pick up their allocated fencing supplies at the showground.

For further information about BlazeAid assistance call the Wingham coordinators on 0418 745 994 or 0488 414 368.
