This year, in support of locals affected by fires in the region, all profits will be going to the Rotary Bushfire Appeal.
This will be a stunning concert with beautiful vocal performances, special guest players, amazing music with a distinctly festive bent, and maybe even a visit from Santa!
Tickets are selling very well and it's a wonderful opportunity to join with so many other community members and just have a great old Christmas singalong. You'll definitely leave with a smile on your face.
It's on at 2pm at the Manning Entertainment Centre on Sunday.
The Manning Valley Concert Band is very excited to present some beautiful items by some extremely special guests. There's something for everyone from classical ro Rock, along with all your favourite Christmas tunes.
Bring your friends, your neighbours, your grandkids and your parents. What the heck - even bring your cranky uncle if only to but a smile on his dial!
The inimitable George Hoad will be the compere, and rumour has it that he's going to lead the singing of White Christmas. That alone is worth the price of the ticket.
Whatever you do - don't miss this wonderful family event, that only comes but once a year. Have a great afternoon and support the locals who are doing it tough in the wake of these horrendous fires.
(Note: Please don't hold back on the wearing of Christmas t-shirts, jewellery, headpieces and accoutrements.)
Year wraps up with Christmas cheer
Yes, it's that time of year again when the local schools and dance studios are wrapping up their year with presentation nights and Christmas concerts.
Even here at the MEC we got into the spirit this week with a staff and volunteers Christmas get-together. Huge thanks must go to uber-organiser and tech extraordinaire Ann Smith, who coaxed even the most reluctant staff members to get into the swing of things.
A marvellous night was had by all, and one of our most beloved volunteers Ken Wykes played Santa, much to the delight of the enthralled crowd. Thanks Ann - you're a champ!
