Phil Grissold from Taree Lions said the fires in the Mid Coast region have been an unprecedented disaster affecting the whole community including fire fighters through to the homeless.
Many are asking "how we can help?"
Phil said there has already been an overwhelming support from locals volunteering their help through to donations of clothing, food and temporary accommodation.
Taree Lions Club members are at places like Club Taree and the showgrounds assisting those who have been evacuated.
So how can you help?
"We need assistance in sharing our GoFundMe Link to raise urgently needed funds for Disaster Fire Relief in our Mid Coast region. Help this campaign go viral by sharing anyway that you know works best for you.
Phil said Taree Lions Club is coordinating this fundraiser with the funds going directly Lions District Cabinet 201N1 for disaster relief.
