Tinonee Historical Society and Museum members had a visit from their senior patron Carolyn Fazio from the USA, who is visiting family here. She enjoyed being part of the garage sale team even though the windy weather put a damper on the day's end. Members thank everyone for their support including Tinonee General Store owners Kel and Tracy who supplied the fruit and vegetable tray for the raffle.
Tinonee Red Cross
Tinonee Red Cross members Judy, Pam and Gillian joined with the Taree and Mount George clubs on November 2, to meet with regional manager Janelle Cazaubon at the Taree Presbyterian Church Hall to discuss attracting new members, fundraising, making people aware of the various services offered and other matters.
I hope to have a full report next week on the annual Tinonee Red Cross Melbourne Cup Day Lunch.
Anglican Church
Last Saturday the Wingham Church's Ton of Fun afternoon at the parish hall included a shared supper enjoyed by all. On November 8, the Wingham Anglican Youth will meet at St Matthew's for a Melbourne Paper Cup from 3.45pm. This will be followed by the Faith and Fellowship Service at 5.30pm.
Tinonee Friendship Group
Members and friends of Tinonee Friendship Group look forward to their river cruise along the Manning River today.
Tinonee Public School
Planning is in hand for the School's annual Presentation Day on Tuesday, December 3, at the Manning Entertainment Centre from 10am. This event is open to all parents to enjoy the culmination of their children's school year and achievements, and the announcements of awards. Tickets for the event will soon be available from the school office.
Remembrance Day
A reminder this coming Monday is Remembrance Day and a short service will be conducted at the Wingham Town Hall by Wingham RSL Sub-branch at 10.45am. It will include students from Wingham High School.
