"There's four main things that make a regional festival happen. The amazing artists that make the journey to Wingham, the incredible volunteers that give their heart and soul, the generous sponsors that assist us to bring it all together and the lovely folk that buy a ticket and commit to the event to ensure it can continue," Festival director Donna Ballard said.
"Without those four elements in balance none of it would be possible!"
Road trips may have already started with caravans in tow but locals can join in on the fun too.
"We wanted to make it easier for everyone to get along to Akoostik this year and Steve Gatland is going to run a coach service all the way out to Pacific Palms, Forster, Rainbow Flat, Old Bar and Taree," Donna said.
For just $30 for the return trip you also receive a free Coopers ale or The Apple Thief cider or Saxby's Soft Drink along with a free meal from one of the food stalls. Call Steve Gatland on 0411 568 022 to secure your spot.
A shuttle bus will operate from Isabella Street in front of Bent on Food to the Wingham Showground and back.
