Visitors were guided around the dimly-lit Museum to hear the Museum's volunteers, dressed in costume, relate tales of bushrangers, ghosts and murders.
"All the time slots for the evening were fully booked. The performances were great and the evening went like clockwork," said Manning Valley Historical Society secretary, Kathie Bell.
Some of the people who attended were impressed enough to leave comments on Facebook:
"What a wonderful way to bring history alive. The volunteers who made this happen are to be congratulated. Well done. I hope we can be there for the next one."
"It was fantastic! I was so happy that my wheelchair was able to get everywhere. Thank you for a marvellous evening."
"Community museums are amazing and their volunteer groups deserve a big thank you. There is always a lot to be done with very few resources. Fantastic work."
It was a great night, well done to everybody, really innovative.
