Social bowls
We had one game of pairs, and one game of triples - with a few bowlers playing away over the week at other clubs which made our fields lower this week.
Results are:
- D. Polley, C. Kriss - 17 def J. Stewart, P. Marcus - 12.
- J. Pedron, D. Lewis, M. Hinton - 17 def N. Platt, J. Duncan, L. Dennes - 14.
The above match proved to be a marathon game (finishing at 12.45pm) - by not giving a shot away at any cost.
Team Hinton won 10 ends with team Dennes winning eight and that included TWO four shot ends.
An enjoyable game was had by all.
It was a delight to see and play with our long time member Norma Platt who had not played for some years and I might add had not lost any form at all playing as a lead.
Our lead bowlers were in form with tight heads on the green before the seconds dished up their skills for the skips to add or dispose of for winning points.
Winners with Largest Winning Margin:
D. Polley, C. Kriss with a Win+5.
