We also welcomed pre-schoolers to join in the fun. They came along to 'Joeys International Spy School' to take part in lots of great activities with the help of our amazing Year Five and Six students.
We finished the day with the book character parade. It was a great day of enjoyment, discovery and fun with literature.
Father's Day Brekky
It was great to see so many of our dads and grandads with us for breakfast to celebrate Father's Day this year. The Father's Day Breakfast was a great opportunity for dads to meet and feel part of the school and parish community.
Regional Netball Gala Day
Two weeks ago we hosted the Regional Netball Gala Day at the netball complex in Taree. More than 300 students from St Joseph's Wingham, Taree, Bulahdelah, Gloucester and Holy Name Forster all came together to experience a non-competitive day of netball.
All teams had fun, played in different positions on the court and enjoyed their gala day of netball. By all accounts a great day was had by all with students returning to school happy but exhausted.
Grandparents' Liturgy
We thank the many grandparents and family members who were able to be with us for the Grandparents' Day Liturgy held last week. The children certainly love to see their grandparents visit them at school. Thanks to Mrs Cleaver and the Year Six students for co-ordinating the wonderful liturgy.
