On Wednesday August 7, 49 players hit off for the August Monthly Medal. Brian Roberts was the winner with 70 nett c/b, next was Dave Andrews 70, Simon Lemon 71, Dave Andrews won the putting with 29. The sharp shooters winning the NTP on the 3rd/12th was Michael Harriman, and on the 7th/16th Cliff Sayers, 9th/18th Dave Andrews.
On Thursday August 8, the LJ Hooker Chook Run had 39 starters, and the winner was Corey Franklin 22 points, Dave Schubert 20 c/b, Sandy Dunn 20, Col Tubby 18 c/b, Syd Gilfillan 18 c/b, Nev Blanch 18 c/b. Corey won the nearest the pin on the third, Dave Andrews was the winner on the seventh.
On Friday August 9 the ladies played a stableford, and the winner was Ann Palmer 20 pts, r/up Narelle Minett 19, ball winners Ann O'Neill, Noelene Nelson. Ann Palmer won the NTP.
On Saturday August 10, with very windy conditions, 53 players hit off for the Tezza Entertainment trophy. The winner was Adam Buchtman with a great 42 pts, A Grade Craig Harrison 39, r/up Nev Blanch 37. B Grade Franz Schubert 39 c/b, r/up Paul Muir 3. C Grade Terry Harris 36, r/up Alex Kees 35. There were two eagles on the 14th hole by Geoff Swaffield and Brenden Walker.
The nearest the pin winners were on the 1st/10th Wingham Plaza Butchers Craig Harrison, 3rd/12th Wingham Remedial Massage was Craig Harrison winning his own trophy, 4th/13th Pottsy's Bakehouse Adam Beattie, 7th/16th McQ/Crouch Hole will Jackpot to $60 next week, 9th/18th Bent on Food Braydon Cowie.
On Sunday August 11 the club honored all the sponsors who have donated to the club throughout the year to a game of golf and lunch. There were 53 starters sponsored by the club and Carlton United. Without these people the club wouldn't be what it is today, thank you very much. The winners were Taree VW, followed by the Steel and Brown team, Glass 24/7. The two youngest to play also received a prize.
