The year eight Wingham High School student was selected for the tour while on the NSW CHS (Combined High Schools) Hunter Team which played at the State Championships at Campbelltown earlier this year.

Several weeks later, Jaimee-Lee was back at Raby, Campbelltown to play the State Challenge.

The UK tour will give Jaimee-Lee, and the other girls on the team, the opportunity to experience a cricket tour, test themselves in different conditions, visit the home of cricket Lords and train with elite county coaches.

Jaimee-Lee's cricket journey began six years ago when she played her first game of club cricket. Often playing at home with her brother BJ, she quickly learnt skills that have since taken her to the level of her playing today.

Jaimee-Lee was selected in the Hunter Girls PSSA Cricket Team two years in a row whilst she was a student at Tinonee Public School. She trained travelling to Maitland on a regular basis for the State PSSA Championships.

It was at this time she was recognised for her fast left arm swing bowling. She saw an advertisement for young female players and immediately joined the North Coast NSW Girls Cricket Academy. There she met talented coaches and mentors who she respects, and made good friends who she trains and plays with.

The Academy includes closed coaching camps and training days as far up as Grafton, and gives the girls the opportunity also to meet and train with some famous and talented cricket players. Jaimee-Lee trains at these camps for the NSW State Country Championships held every October.

She will be attending training camps in Sydney over the next few months with the State Training Squad in which the team will play in Canberra in the U15's National Female Cricket Championships next February.

Jaimee-Lee plays with Tinonee Cricket Club and her coach Ben Marron has always supported her on her cricket journey. He has always seen the possibility and rewards given to her through her commitment, discipline and intent.
