Jasmin lives with foetal alcohol spectrum disorder, hearing sensory and intellectual disability and leads a full and busy life.
In fact, when she was a baby her carers were told that she wouldn't have long to live.
She's proved them all wrong.
Jasmin receives a range of disability supports through her NDIS package from Life Without Barriers, including support in the home such as cooking, cleaning and personal care; and community access, helping her achieve her goals and get out and about in the community.
Jasmin was intent on getting her licence so she could get around without assistance from others.
She got her Ls a few years ago - but it was hard clocking up the 120 hours of driving that you are required to do before you can go for your Ps test.
Jasmin made the choice to make learning to drive part of her NDIS plan - so Life Without Barriers assisted her to reach her goals, with staff supervising her driving so she could do all the hours required.
And then the big day came of the test and Jasmin passed.
"I can now get myself to work and stuff that I need to do and I don't have to rely on support workers anymore!" Jasmin said.
Congratulations Jasmin.
