New fence
Many thanks to Midcoast Council workmen who have at last replaced the 40+ year old fence around the river side of Horace Dean Memorial Park. This section of the ark overlooks the beautiful Manning River at the end of Manchester Street where the picnic tables, barbecue and swings are located.

The fence is a replica of what was there before and is very much appreciated.
Hearty congratulations
A well deserved OAM was awarded to well known local Mrs Margaret Ezzy (nee Gollan) of Mondrook. I have known Margaret for quite a few years but there are others who have known her longer and would whole heartedly agree with me that she is a worthy recipient of the honour for her tireless years of voluntary work and support of a number of charities including Camp Quality. Margaret also is a wonderful cook and supporter of Tinonee Historical Society and Tinonee Hall.
Congratulations Margaret from everyone.

School sports day
Tinonee Public School held their inter-house athletics carnival on Bob Collier Oval at the recreation ground and were blessed with beautiful weather. There was plenty of noise coming from the oval and I believe many parents, grandparents and supporters were on hand to encourage some great results from the students.
Tinonee Memorial Hall news
The members held their monthly meeting last Monday evening June 10 and were pleased to report on several bookings which have taken place including a successful macramé workshop, an 80th birthday party and a cheese making day whilst the Flying Fox Pre-School is using the hall each Tuesday and is growing steadily in number - I believe there are still placements available for anyone who has a little one they would like to enrol.
