The House of Representatives declaration for the Lyne election was held at Taree's Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) office on Wednesday, June 12.

At the event, AEC acting divisional returning officer Scott Morrison declared The Nationals' Dr David Gillespie polled the most votes and retained the seat of Lyne.
Dr Gillespie received 49,934 of the 111,276 first preference votes cast in the election.
Australian Labor Party's Phil Costa received the second highest total, with 24,371.
The remaining candidates received the following votes:
Stuart Watson (The Greens)- 6589 votes
Dean McRae (Liberal Democrats)- 5864 votes
Jeremy Miller (Independent)- 5169 votes
Garry Bourke (United Australia Party)- 4098 votes
Ryan Goldspring (Fraser Anning's Conservative National Party)- 1986 votes
Ed Caruana (Australian Workers Party)- 1676 votes
Catherine Zhao (Christian Democrats Fred Nile Group)- 1493 votes
Based on the total number of eligible voters, 7,450 people didn't vote.
