Paula and Richard Greenaway were born and raised locally and are familiar faces in the community.
Their friendly and thoughtful service is a direct result of Richard and Paula simply doing what comes naturally.
"I always tell the drivers to look after the customers, drive safely and treat them like a basket of eggs!" laughs Paula.
The driving is currently shared between Paula, Richard and employees Peter and Allan, and the Greenaway's have been servicing Wingham for more than 14 years.
Venturing into their own business has given them some extra rewards they didn't see coming.
"At Christmas, we get lots of cards and gifts," admits Paula.
From fruit platters to flowers, Paula tells how touched she was when one of her regular customers gave her two delicious mushroom tarts.
"Sometimes, it's the little things I really like," Paula said.
It's the daily interaction with their customers that make their business so fulfilling.
You may have seen the Greenaway's Taxis at the Wingham Anzac Day March, where they freely volunteer their services.
"Every year, we dress the taxis up in our Australian flags and proudly convey any service men and women who can no longer march up to the hall."
Operating a taxi service is a 24/7 job and between Paula, Richard and the team they've got all shifts covered.
"We really try to give the best service we can," said Paula.
We pride ourselves on good prompt service

Paula and Richard were both educated in Wingham and their own two children are following in the family footsteps.
Son Jarred has worked at Wingham abattoirs since leaving Wingham High.
Daughter Claudia is now working as a Property Manager for LJ Hooker Wingham.
They are justifiably proud of their parents' hard work and when the extra rush is on, the children step in to help however they can.
They talk just as fondly of the customers as their parents do.
"Some become like family friends too," said Claudia.
Greenaway's Taxis can be found mostly at the taxi rank on Bent Street or ring them on 6557 1119.
Eftpos facilities are available as well as a wheelchair taxi and maxi taxi for your convenience. They are also NDIS approved.
