The Bureau of Meteorology made the prediction for the chance of snow on Friday night (May 10) which put members of the Barrington Tops Snow Chasers Facebook group on alert.
Phil made his way to the Polbue picnic area at around 5.45am and stayed until 7am in order to experience the winter wonderland.
Although it was only a light dusting, it was still a opportunity to snap a few photos.
"There wasn't much there this year but it's only early in the season," Phil said.
Phil has been chasing the snow on the Tops every year since 2014.
Although the overnight conditions provided for a bit of the white stuff, it didn't last long as the daytime temperatures kicked in.
According to the snow chasers page, there is no more snow forecast in the near future.
