Activities commenced with breakfast made of Manning Free Range Eggs each morning.
Sponsors were Peter Brown Lawn Mowers, Wingham Motel, Wingham Beef Exports, Bunnings Warehouse, and Wingham Bowling Club, and coupled with exceptional voluntary expertise it resulted in a big bonus for the club and the town.
The greens were in the best condition seen for a long time. All the players involved enjoyed the weekend even though some missed out in taking home some of big money handed out to the visitors and some of our locals.
The main two days, being Friday and Saturday, involved 20 teams. A number of spectators enjoyed music from our local Greg Cluttance which kept many in the club until quite late.
Easter Sunday April 21
This was the final day of the Easter Carnival and again playing conditions were excellent with a good response of 12 teams. Gloucester came with two of their top teams who were not involved in the other days and they were rewarded with some of the sponsored money.
A number of our local girls and others from Wauchope and Comboyne were included in some of the teams but unfortunately missed out in collecting money.
Again the winners were those who captured the major prize on Saturday and were an all male combination.
