Jillian Oliver is the guest speaker at the next meeting of Manning Net being held at Wingham Services Club on May 2, 2019 at 6.30pm.

Jillian will be talking about overcoming Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and physical ailments through art therapy.

According to the Wingham Chronicle, "Jillian Oliver is a former police officer who sustained a serious injury to her arm which later necessitated its amputation. She has used, and is still using, art as therapy. Using art as a therapeutic tool for veterans is becoming increasingly popular, and is known to assist in dealing with PTSD."

In 2017 Jillian received the Wingham Citizen of the Year award. She has been awarded numerous scouting awards, and received the Police Medal for diligent and meritorious duty.

The cost for the evening is $25, which includes a two course meal with complimentary tea and coffee after the meal.
