The Wingham Junior Cricket Club held their end-of-year presentation on Friday night at the Wingham Golf Club.

With life members Trevor Bell, Sue Thomas, Bob Staff and John Delaney present it was a fitting end to what was a fine season for the Wingham kids.

Special guests were Bev Dawson, who presented the Terry Dawson memorial shield, and Luke Miner, the newly appointed Mid North Coast Cricket Manager.

The Thomas Family Junior Player of the Year award went to Angus Abbot while the Kenny French Senior Club Person of the Year went to Col McTaggart. Col, Josh and Hudson also picked up the Staff Family trophy for the coach of the year, while Blake Thompson picked up the coveted Player of the Year award for his outstanding efforts during the year.

Club president thanked everybody for participating and hoped they'd be back next year.

Luke Miner made the special announcement that the WJCC was successful in obtaining a grant for $2,500 from the GrassRoots Cricket fund which will go towards some much appreciated junior equipment.

With the festivities done with the cricket whites can now get properly bleached in the sun. If anyone wishes to play junior cricket next year please contact club secretary Joe Taylor on 0418 758983.
