The set of small framed prints featuring some rather charming woodland creatures are the work of Monique Fedor, a watercolour artist from the Central Coast with ties to the Manning Valley.
"My mum lives at Oxley Island and Garden Grub is our favourite place to eat when we visit," Monique said.
She sells her paintings under the name Maddi and Me, named after her 10 month-old daughter Maddi.
A piano teacher by trade, Monique has always loved art and music but it was only when she wanted to decorate Maddi's bedroom that the idea of painting her own work was born.
"The walls looked so bare," she said.
"I thought I'll see if I can make something myself."
Impressed by the results, friends and family encouraged Monique to create a collection to sell.
Squeezing painting in between Maddi's naps and the housework, Monique has worked hard to achieve her goal.
Just five months on and her prints are stocked in a number of small shops on the Central Coast and, thanks to her mum's connections locally, in Garden Grub too.
