It is also highly respected for the support and nurturing it provides to young cattle enthusiasts.
A major highlight of the two-day show - being held over the weekend of March 30-31 - will be the Beef Cattle RAS/ASC Group 2 Junior Judging Qualifying Final for entry into the 2019 Royal Sydney Easter Show.
Agricultural students travel from afar to showcase their talents at the Wingham Show often representing such towns as Kempsey, Camden Haven, Gloucester and Taree.
Wingham will, as always, be well represented by the Wingham High School show team.
Being able to compete at the Royal Easter Show is the goal of many young cattle enthusiasts and the competition is expected to be strong at the 134th show.
Beef cattle judging starts at 8.30am on Saturday, March 30.
The program of events includes:
- Junior judging 8.30 am.
- Stud cattle (ring one), led steer/heifer (ring two) approximately 9am.
- Junior judging orals.
- Junior parading.
The 2019 Wingham Annual Show will be a fun filled family event with gates opening on Saturday and Sunday from 8am.
