The 30th anniversary of Clean Up Australia Day also marks 30 years of Caparra Road being a Clean Up Australia Day site, giving it the honour of being the longest continuous site in the Manning Valley.

Two residents, Sandy and Amanda Brooks, have been involved from year one, being joined by other nearby residents the following year, continuing on the tradition to this day.
"Last year we managed to clean the full distance from the start (down to Wherrol Flat) to the very end (at the junction of Tallowwood Road and Rowleys Road), plus Hobbit's Way as well," site supervisor Irene Hannan said.
