New members are most welcome to come along to the group which enjoys a cuppa and chat, sometimes special outings and lunches in and around the local area are enjoyed along with guest speakers at other times.
Peg Leg Bridge works
After a major task was undertaken to remove the huge trees around the southern side of the little hump bridge on the Tinonee to Wingham road, everyone is waiting to see what the next stage will bring.
The clearing has certainly opened the approaches and giving a greater view and we hope all drivers will extend care and courtesy to their fellow drivers when they near the approaches.

Happy Valentine’s Day
To all those young and not so young couples Happy Valentine’s Day to you all for Thursday, February 14.
Townsville floods
Even though our daughter Fiona self evacuated to friends on Sunday evening February 3 with her six chooks, the water didn’t get into her home as it was off the ground thankfully. But when speaking to her last weekend she said the moisture and humidity has caused a lot of mould to appear in her home and will have to be removed.
We are thankful she has come through with some minor problems but better off than many others who have lost so much.
