There is a working bee at the reserve this Saturday, February 16, from 8.30am. We hope to also discuss combining resources of all committees in town to present a united front when applying for funding for projects to benefit Mt George. Try to come along and help make this decision. Everyone interested will have their views heard.

Mount George RFS
All Mount George RFS members are advised there will be a meeting at the fire shed on Tuesday, February 19.
On the agenda is to have those members interested in more courses towards higher qualifications. This year’s calendar of training times will be available for those interested to check if the training times suit their work obligations; and forward the necessary information to Taree Fire Control for registration. Please make an effort to attend as places fill very quickly.
The meeting begins at 7pm.
Caffreys Flat Hall
The Caffreys Flat Hall Committee has asked me to thank all who attended the dance on Saturday, February 2, for making it such a success. Everyone seemed to have a great time.
Special thanks to Elaine Turner for the fiyers which were sent out to advertise the dance, as not everyone gets the Chronicle, and without her assistance the dance might not have been the success it was.
The next event at the Caffreys Flat Hall is a community barbecue lunch on Saturday, March 17. It is BYO everything should you wish to eat/drink and there is a $2 per head entry.
There’s a dinner dance with a Great Gatsby theme on May 25. Entry will be $25 per adult, $15 for ages 10-16 and under-10s will be free. The music will be by Ross Fahey. You’ll have a great meal and supper and plenty of fun on the night. Call Lola on 6550 7593 to book your table and give numbers for catering purposes.
Ask her if you need to practise your Charleston and other period dances. If the Charleston and the black bottom are the go, it would be worth golng just to see them, as I have only ever heard about them from my mum when she was alive. Period dress is optional.
