With the theme ‘Love your life’, the festival celebrates older people in the community and encourages them to live active and connected lives.
The NSW Seniors Festival is the largest festival for people over 60 in the southern hemisphere, attracting up to 500,000 seniors across the state to local events and online.
The festival will run for 12 days from Wednesday, February 13 to Sunday, February 24 across NSW.
“We’re really looking forward to bringing the festival to the MidCoast again this year,” said Chris Jones, manager of MidCoast Libraries.
“The theme, ‘Love your life’ sends a really positive message about health and the importance of looking after yourself, but also celebrates getting older.”

During this annual festival there are hundreds of free and discounted events around NSW to inspire seniors to eat well, stay active and connect with their local community.
This NSW Seniors Festival, seniors will be inspired to try new things, socialise, share skills and keep doing the things they enjoy, together.
MidCoast Council’s libraries will be offering a wide range of activities including technology workshops, movie screenings, music, dancing, yoga, tai-chi, meditation, digital photographic exhibitions and more.
“This is going to be a great festival, with so much on offer. We expect interest to be very high so bookings are essential. These can be made on the library website (above) or at your local library,” Mr Jones said..
A full listing of events taking place in libraries across the MidCoast is available from your local library, or by viewing the events calendar online at www.midcoastlibraries.com.au.
