Wednesday January 16: Vets played a stableford event with 45 players. Winner was Alan Bishop 43, Lee Murray 42, Christopher 40c/b. Peter Tait won the NTP on the 3rd/12th 0.8m, Dave Andrews won on the 7th/16th with 1.84m, Lionel Fell won the OBE with 39 points.
Wednesday Ambrose resulted in a win for the Rovers team followed by Smithies Team.
Thursday the LJ Hooker Chook Run had 38 players, winner Paul Muir 23c/b, John Thorburn 23, Al Mudford 21c/b, Chris Mudford 21c/b, Sandy Dunn 21. Dave Elliott won the nearest the pin on the third, and Dave Schubert won on the seventh.
Friday Ladies played a front nine stableford. Winner Narelle Smith, r/up Joy White, ball winners Bev Hodgson, Volda Humphries.
Friday ambrose winners: Garry Dennes, John Bailey, next Tom Burley, Dean Burley.
Saturday’s EZGO Golf Carts single stableford winner was Jim Bradshaw with 41pts, A-grade winner James Urquhart 37, r/up, Neville Blanch 36, B-grade Gary Croucher 40, r/up Courtney Adamson 39, C-grade Quenton Jackson a visitor from WA with 40pt c/b, r/up Jason Patrick 40. Saturday night saw the annual Snake Club dinner and presentation. King Snake was Jamie Berry; needless to say King Snake looked splendid on Sunday in his new shirt. Results of the Volkswagon Scramble Ambrose will be published next week as some players were a bit under the weather and needed to go home. Good golfing. - BIRDIE
