The first workshop was held last Saturday, January 5, where participants learned about clay and the art of making ceramics, threw a pot on the wheel with Peter Hugill or learned to create a pinch pot with Faye Collier.
The pots have been bisque fired during the week and are ready for glazing during this Saturday’s workshop (January 12) from 10.30am to noon.
This second session will focus on glazing the pots that were made in the first week so they are ready for firing.
For anyone who didn't attend the first workshop, pots will be available for people to add their own glaze to.
Pots will be ready to be picked up from the gallery the following week.
The workshop is suitable for people aged eight years and over.
All materials are supplied.
The cost is $15 and bookings are essential. Book at https://ceramicspeterhugill_fayecollier.eventbrite.com.au
While attending the workshop, you can also view the gallery’s exhibitions A Bug’s Life and The Art of Ageing, which both close this Sunday.
The gallery, located in Macquarie Street, Taree, is open 10am to 4pm Wednesday to Saturday and 1pm to 4pm on Sunday.
