Rodney Cribbin has been decorating his dwelling for the past 11 years to raise funds for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service. And each year the display has become bigger and better than the previous year.
This year is no exception. Last year, Rodney put up 25,000 lights. This year he has 30,000 lights plus more blow-ups and “a few bits and bobs”.
“This is the best I’ve ever done,” Rodney says.
Rodney is a member of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service Volunteer Support Group in Taree, and has been raising money for the Service for the past 17-18 years.
He has placed a money box spinner at the front of his home for visitors looking at the lights to make a donation.
Rodney’s lights will be on at 7.30 every evening until Christmas Day, and turned off at 10.30 every night, except for Fridays and Saturdays when they will stay on until midnight.
“Walk down the driveway to see the full effect!” Rodney says.
