It never fails to amaze me when the Jacaranda trees come into full bloom, they are such a strong colour and after a shower of rain the ground is just a carpet of blue. Maybe the property owners who have them dread the mess they make but they are so striking and add to our wonderful countryside.

Garage Sale
Tinonee Historical Members were blessed with a fine dry day to hold their latest fundraiser – a garage sale at the Museum and thanks to everyone who came along to support the function be it to get a trinket, a bargain, a raffle ticket or just to have a look over the numerous items that were on offer. The morning began for most of the members around 7am and continued through to 1pm when it was pack up time and all could take a seat and enjoy a barbecue lunch thanks to the menfolk for doing the cooking. A lovely fruit and vegetable tray was on offer, generously donated by Mel and Michael of Tinonee General Store and this was won by Sue Langdown from Tinonee who was presented it by patron Helen Bennett on behalf of our donors.
Visitors to Museum
Last Tuesday, Museum members Jenny, Pam, Lois, Peter and Sue welcomed former GTCC heritage consultant officer Lillian Cullen, now with MCC along with Sue Calvin, Penny Tierman and Janine Roberts, to speak on what has been happening since the former SHAC Committee was dissolved. Penny and Janine have been recording, at the council library, some fascinating stories of people and places in the area. Lillian and Sue gave us information on what grant funding is available.
