Design and technology students from Taree, Wingham, Great Lakes and Gloucester high schools will be invited to showcase their best works from the school year.
The exhibition, now in its 27th year, will open at the Manning Regional Art Gallery on Wednesday, November 28 where more than 100 items from subjects such as textiles, food technology, metal work, wood work and STEM will be shown.
Taree Christian College (TCC) technology teacher Ron Craig will head up the exhibition.
He is looking forward to seeing what students will display.
“It’s a surprise as to what turns up,” Mr Craig said.
Students will share in more than $4000 worth of prizes that cover subjects from junior mandatory technology to senior design and technology subjects.
These will be presented on the last day of the display on Sunday, December 9.
TCC students are keen for the exhibition.
One design that will capture the eye will be an Aboriginal Dreamtime inspired piece.
“It’s three metres by one and a half metres in three panels,” Mr Craig said.
Industrial technology students have been hard at work making bicycles from recycled materials.
A wine barrel coffee table is another piece that will draw the attention of visitors to the gallery.
