The Central Coast chapter holds its annual general meetings at the Australian Hotel in Wingham, as it is a central point for members, some of whom come from Batemans Bay in the south and Grafton in the north. Around 28-30 members, all returned servicemen, attending the meetings.
“We have our AGMs here and Gary gives us the room out there, the restaurant, as our meeting room,” Jeff said.
Some of the members also stay the night at the Top Pub, and Jeff says he “insists before they get on their bikes to go back to the Central Coast or to Grafton that they have have a good feed” for breakfast.
“I got in touch with Therese at the Sunnyside Cafe, and she doesn’t normally open on a Sunday. But she said straight away ‘Oh yes, I’ll do it for you’, and she opened on the Sunday for us,” Jeff said.
Jeff presented Gary Kozlowski of the Australian Hotel and Therese Saxby of Sunnyside Cafe with framed certificates of appreciation.
