Wingham has signed former captain-coach Kurt Lewis for the 2019 Group Three Rugby League season.
Lewis, a former Group Three and North Coast representative, last played for the Tigers in 2017 when his season was curtailed by injury and suspension. He was with the Muswellbrook club last winter. A utility player, Lewis captain-coached the Tigers in 2016, steering the side to the final. He has also had stints at Port City, Forster-Tuncurry and Old Bar.
Wingham will be captain-coached by former NRL star Mick Sullivan next year. He is a club junior and comes to the club from Group 10 side Orange CYMS.
Another former captain-coach Danny Russell has also re-signed.
Forster Tuncurry Hawks announced the signing of Matt Wakefield.
Wakefield, a forward, has previously played for Woy Woy, Oberon and Sawtell.
The Hawks expect to announce more signings before pre-season training gets underway in late November.
Meanwhile, former English Super League master-coach Brian McDermott has been linked to a consultancy role at the Port Macquarie Sharks in 2019.
McDermott picked up four Super League titles at the helm of Leeds Rhinos between 2011 and 2017.
