Member for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead visited the hall to celebrate the funding with hall members.
“It’s great to join with local residents of Bobin where the School of Arts Hall is a central meeting place for the community and $32,000 will make a real difference,” Mr Bromhead said.
“Works to the School of Arts Hall will include a new accessibility ramp along with landscaping improvements and a new ceiling for the hall’s backstage area and a new septic system.
“The community has done an amazing job in banding together, holding a number of weekend working bees which have seen the hall’s roof cleaned out and new installation installed as well as the painting inside and out.”
The Crown Reserves Improvement Fund supports Crown reserve managers by providing funding for repairs and maintenance projects, pest and weed control, new recreational infrastructure or environmental initiatives.
Caffreys Flat Hall Reserve was also granted $7575 to resurface the hall floor and install a new water tank.
