The candidates originated from India, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Philippines, Barbados, Republic of Ireland, Thailand and Sweden.
The ceremony was presided over by MidCoast Council general manager Adrian Panuccio and Mayor David West.
It was Mayor West’s 6th citizenship ceremony since taking up his role last year.
The ceremony began with a welcoming message from Federal Immigration Minister Peter Dutton.
Each candidate recited the Australian Citizenship Pledge before being presented with their citizenship certificate and commemorative shrub.
The ceremony finished with the singing of Advance Australia Fair.
