Not only will patrons dance to the music of the very popular Hunter Valley band, That`s Rhythm, but they will also be treated to some wonderful entertainment, reflecting music from across the decades.
Proudly supported by the Wingham RSL Sub-branch, the ball commemorates 100 years since the end of World War I and pays tribute to all Australia`s defence and peace-keeping men and women.
Many of these people were born and raised in the Manning Valley.
Organised by the Manning Valley Historical Society Diggers Ball committee, the ball signifies a time of reflection, thanksgiving and celebration of democracy.
Entertainment includes the Manning Valley Stage Band, and music and songs by former professional entertainer Jodi Cooper and well-known local singer, entertainer and gardening Guru, George Hoad.
Plenty of prizes for best-dressed, lucky spots and the raffle.
All donated by the local community.
“The community support for this event has been outstanding,” said committee chair, Mave Richardson.
“Just like ‘the old days,’ the community has rallied to help out in a host of ways. Community spirit well and truly lives on in Wingham and the Manning Valley,” she added.
Tickets are limited so don`t miss out!
