Ashlea Town and Country Garden Club has had a very good year to date with full attendance at meetings and a waiting list for new members.

Members celebrated Christmas in July aboard the Island Explorer on the Manning River in perfect weather.

The August meeting was held at Tinonee Orchids where garden club members were very interested in the talk and demonstrations given by Ray, especially modern tissue culture propogation.

The raffle prize of a lovely orchid was won by member Pam Smith.

The next meeting will be held at Margie Worth's home on September 18 and the competition is two single pink flowers in a vase.
