This year’s Longview Farm Party is shaping up to be one of the best.
Entertainment includes one of the biggest bands of the 80s, Choirboys.
Organisers have also secured Smoke Stack Rhino (Melbourne), Psycho Zydeco (a blend of traditional cajun, blues and swamp music), the ultimate party band Steve Edmonds, classical guitarist Peter Pik who has been touring Europe for the past few years, New Orleans styled Kate Lush and Leanne Paris; great local band The Trapps plus loads more.
Longview is a four day family friendly camping event with live entertainment on a spectacular river front property, running from Friday, September 28 to Monday, October 1. Situated on the Nowendoc River at Caffreys Flat, west of Wingham, this unique event is limited to a few hundred to keep an intimate atmosphere.
The farm party has been an annual event for more than 18 years. During this time, it has attracted some of the best acts in the country and abroad - Joe Walsh (The Eagles), The Angels, Ian Moss, Mental As Anyting, The Radiators and Angry Anderson, just to name a few.
There is plenty of space to camp with either a tent or caravan, with plenty of river frontage for everyone.
There is an amenities block with flushing toilets and hot showers, a massive waterslide to keep the kids happy, a mobile coffee van to keep the adults happy, food stalls including a barbecue which is a fundraiser for the Mount George Rural Fire brigade, NRL grand final on the big screen, huge fireworks show, yoga (BYO yoga mats) and belly dancing workshop.
The river is great for swimming and kayaking during the daytime. You just need to bring your camping equipment, food and drinks.
