Whilst like many voters I do not agree with the political agenda of Richard Di Natale and the Greens, I must applaud his gutsy and to the point speech in Parliament.

He expressed what many of us have been thinking for some time now.
Quite frankly I never thought I would see the farce that passes for politics in Australia now. It’s no wonder we voters are totally disenchanted with the major parties.
They don’t even pretend to be looking for the good of the country. Their only interest appears to be furthering their own egos and increasing their already more than generous parliamentary salaries and superannuation benefits
Whilst we have the very unedifying spectacle of the Coalition trying hard to commit suicide at the moment the Greens and their fellow travellers in the Labor Party must share the blame equally.
This has been aided and abetted by sheer ineptitude of the other parties and the commercial greed of manufactures and the power suppliers.
So we have achieved a world first with the most expensive electricity in the world and no end in sight.
For the last 30 years we have been told to install the latest green solar system to "reduce our carbon footprint". Guess what. Despite the waste of hundreds of billion of dollars it has achieved zilch.
I am reminded of that king who with the same degree of hubris thought he could control Mother Nature. He got his socks wet and this crowd are just as successful.
Whilst applauding the opinions outlined in that speech to me it still smacks of hypocrisy and political opportunism.
