The branch originally aimed to raise $15,000. However, as of Monday, August 20 they had received more than $30,000.
The people of Wingham have been donating $20 to ‘buy a bale’ for the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners, as well as purchasing raffle tickets from the bank and other businesses in Wingham.
In all, 23 prizes were donated by Wingham businesses. The raffle was drawn on the night, with an additional raffle of $400 of meat raising $2170.

“The place was literally packed, you couldn’t get a seat!” said CBA Wingham branch Manager, Jaime Mathiske.
“So we’re happy for the Bowling Club because they also got the business as well. That was awesome.”
Jaimie is overwhelmed by the response of the community.
“I never in my wildest dreams thought that we’d hit $15,000, let alone $30,000. It has really just blown me away,” she said.
“Linga Longa Farm helped us raise approximately $7000 of this $30,000. They went down to Sydney to the farmers markets down there and raised money,” Jaimie said.
